How to read this
Moon sign. The Moon moves through a sign in about two and a half days. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac; Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa, about 24° behind, so the two often name different signs on the same day.
Nakshatra. Vedic astrology splits the Moon's path into 27 nakshatras of 13°20′, each with four padas. The Moon moves into a new one roughly every day. All 27 nakshatras.
Tithi. A lunar day: each tithi is 12° of angle between the Moon and the Sun, thirty to a lunar month. Shukla paksha is the waxing half, from new moon to Purnima; Krishna paksha is the waning half, ending at Amavasya.
