How to read this
Moon sign. The Moon moves through a sign in about two and a half days. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac; Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa, about 24° behind, so the two often name different signs on the same day.
Nakshatra. Vedic astrology splits the Moon's path into 27 nakshatras of 13°20′, each with four padas. The Moon moves into a new one roughly every day.
Tithi. A lunar day: each tithi is 12° of angle between the Moon and the Sun, thirty to a lunar month. Shukla paksha is the waxing half, from new moon to Purnima; Krishna paksha is the waning half, ending at Amavasya.
Times are India Standard Time. These changes happen at the same instant everywhere on Earth, so elsewhere only the clock time differs. Almanacs can disagree by a minute.
